Shenzhen, China: Asia’s first edition of a high-level event that will provide structured one-to-one business meetings, as well as professional education, networking and hands-on demonstrations for golf industry trade professionals will take place in the final quarter of 2015.
To be held from October 29-31 in Shenzhen, the Asia Golf Congress is expecting to attract participants from China and around Asia to access a series of interactive and educational content, including a Turf Science Academy, outdoor displays and pre-arranged one-on-one business meetings.
These will be complemented by networking opportunities with investors, property developers, golf course managers, superintendents, designers, architects and equipment suppliers.
Organisers at Reed Guanghe Exhibitions described the Asia Golf Congress as a ‘game-changing new trade meeting designed by the industry for the industry’.
Josephine Lee, General Manager of Reed Guanghe Exhibitions, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation [AGIF], said: “Compared to other parts of the world, the game of golf remains relatively new to Asia.
“At Reed Guanghe we have assessed the multiple facets of the industry and are very excited to be able to provide bespoke products and services, through the Asia Golf Congress, to golf industry professionals looking to enhance their understanding of the industry, boost their business networks or strengthen their market position.”
The event is endorsed by a host of prominent golfing bodies, including the China Golf Association [CGA], the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America [GCSAA], the Golf Course Builders Association of America [GCBAA], the American Society of Golf Course Architects [ASGCA], The R&A and the AGIF.
With a strong focus on value, organisers say they have created an ‘appealing menu of congress activities that feature education, business-inductive meetings, networking, product presentations and live demonstrations’.
The one-on-one business meetings are private meetings between buyers and suppliers. Buyers in this programme will be identified through a collaborative process between Reed Guanghe’s own research team under the guidance of an Advisory Panel.
“These unique one-on-one business matchmaking activities feature confirmed meetings with targetted, pre-vetted buyers. Participants will be able to make the most of their time on-site and maximise business opportunities in these face-to-face interactions with top decision makers and influencers of the golf industry,” said a spokesperson for the organisers.
Renowned industry professionals will be at the congress to present the most up-to-date and creative solutions for the emerging Asian golf industry and golf markets.
Four diverse tracks will optimise learning opportunities and provide practical, meaningful advice by exploring the exigencies and opportunities within golf course design and construction; golf real estate supply and business conditions; golf lifestyle and attracting future generations; and golf course management and operations.
AGC logoThe Turf Science Academy will be a cost-effective, practical way to take in a number of quick, hands-on tutorials and product demos. Participants will be able to watch and join in as experts demonstrate the use of new innovations, products and golfing best practice.
There will also be ample opportunity to network with the Who’s Who of the Asian golf industry. Networking sessions will take place at the welcome reception, during session breaks, at luncheons and during the gala dinners.
